A Note to WBMUD Residents Regarding Rain Barrels

The District is not opposed to the installation of rain barrels, and in fact, encourages water conservation efforts. The Courtesy Cards that were sent out to residents with rain barrels were sent to remind them that the actual installation of the barrels needs to go through the ACC approval process in some areas of the District. The District enforces Restrictive Covenants to preserve the property values in the District.  We want to encourage residents who have rain barrels, and those that want to get them in the future, to install and locate them on their property in a manner that does not detract from property values in the District.  The Board of Directors has put enforcement and ACC approval for rain barrel installation on-hold until the related issues are clarified and communicated to our residents.
