Mr. Chuck Walters has been a resident of Wells Branch MUD since 1983. He was elected to the Board of Directors in May 1992. Chuck is Chairman of the Facilities and Information Technology Committees’ and a member on Recreation Committee and serves as alternate for several others.

Chuck has worked with other State and National organizations to improve the amenities in Wells Branch including obtaining 3 matching grants from Texas Parks and Wildlife for over $2.3 Million in projects that have brought improvements of the hike and bike trails system, Playscapes, recreation uses of Mills pond, Willow Bend pool and indoor Recreation Center. These improvements help to maintain the property values throughout Wells Branch Neighborhood.

Chuck has been involved with several groups in Wells Branch including Cub & Boy Scouts, Armada Swim team, Neighborhood Association, PTA, Homestead, Soccer club and others. While on the Board, He has been a prime proponent for improvements to WB Park system & Facilities. He works for Dell Inc. in Information Technology. Chuck attended UT El Paso, Austin Community College, Southwest Texas State, & UT Austin and has a BBA in Management of Information Systems. Chuck is divorced and has 3 children Patrick, Briana, and Dane.

Donna Howe has been a resident of Wells Branch since 1983, moving here soon after the District was created. She was first appointed to the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District Board of Directors in 1996 and is now serving in her 3rd elected term.

Ms. Howe serves as the Chair of the Finance and Administration Committees, and is a major advocate of District water conservation. In these roles, she is responsible for the development of the District’s budget and water rates and has been instrumental in finding methods to expand District services while keeping taxes and water rates down.

Currently, Ms. Howe serves as a Board member of the Texas Water Conservation Association (TWCA). She was a founding member of Capital Area Suburban Exchange (CASE), serving as president during the first 2 formative years. Other water organization membership includes AWWA and serving as an appointed member of the State’s Water Conservation Advisory Council.

Ms. Howe served as President of the Wells Branch Neighborhood Association from 1992-1993 and has remained in charge of distribution of the Association newsletter since then. She also served as the treasurer of the Wells Branch Homestead Corporation from 1989 until 1994. Her neighborhood work also includes volunteering with Wells Branch Elementary School, the Wells Branch Armada Swim Team, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts as well as working to help create the Wells Branch Library District.

Ms. Howe is registered Pharmacist and has worked for Walgreens for over 28 years as a Pharmacist. She also teaches National Pharmacy Certification classes to Walgreen’s staff in the Central Texas Region.

She is married to Mike Howe and has three children; Kalinda and Briana, and Dane. All three have graduated from UT System Universities and are employed in their fields of study. Lastly, Donna owns 2 tri-colored collies that often happily greet walkers on the pond trail from their back yard enclosure.

Janet Maxey moved to Wells Branch in 1993. She was elected to the MUD Board in May of 2004. She serves on the Recreation and the Public Safety Committees, and is an alternate for the Finance Committee.

Janet is a very familiar face in Wells Branch. She was an Armada Swim Team Board member for 8 years. She also served on the WBNA Board and the McNeil High School PTA Board. She bakes the 4th Fest cupcakes, coordinates the Homestead Craft Show, volunteers at the Library, and helps with almost all the special events in Wells Branch.

Janet is married to Doug Maxey and has three children: Tori, who will be attending Stephen F. Austin in the fall of 2004, Annie, who attends Franklin University in Switzerland, and Doug, who is a driving instructor for Panoz Racing School at Texas Motor Speedway.

Tom Cheshire has been a Wells Branch resident since 1988. A graduate from UT with a BA in Criminal Justice. Hook'm Horns. Tom and Gail have two daughters that also live in Wells Branch so they can be close to some of the seven grand children. One daughter lives in Manor and a son in Florence, Texas.

My background as a small business owner and prior law enforcement experience has been extremely beneficial for the residents of Wells Branch. As Chairman of the Public Safety Committee and with the support from the other Board of Directors, have created a great working relationship with the Travis County Sheriffs Department and Precinct Two Constables Office. With the Public Safety Committee Wells Branch now has the most and best recognized Neighborhood Watch Programs in Travis County according to the Travis County Sheriffs Department.

Tom is also on the Precinct Two Constables Citizen Advisory Board and the Northwest Elementary Advisory Board. “I may be an elected official, but I am also a resident and have the same issues that face everyone in Wells Branch. I serve on the Board of Directors for one reason and one reason only. That is to help make Wells Branch a great community to live in and for residents to want to stay and make our community the place to live. By maintaining our property values and parks & recreation area, we have one of the best places to live in Travis County and I am very honored to be part.

Robert Bauhs graduated from college with a BA in Economics from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and a commission in the Air Force. He earned his pilot’s wings and after completing his tour of duty, he returned to the civilian world as a Systems Engineer with IBM. Subsequent promotions had him moving to Endicott, NY as an instructor, and then to Lima, Ohio as a Systems Engineering manager.

His family moved to Sugarland, TX during the oil boom of the late ‘70s where he joined an oilfield services company as their Information Services Manager. Family matters brought him to Wells Branch in 1996 where he continued to work as an Industry consultant for his former employer, and then finally as an adjunct faculty member at ACC. Until recently he has been involved with the Austin Chord Rangers, a men’sacappella singing group.

Bob’s wife, Darlene, has a BA in education. She has worked as a teacher, tutor, children’s librarian and museum director. Most of all she has been a great mom to 4 children, and dotes on her grandchildren in Houston and Wells Branch.
