Donna Howe has been a resident of Wells Branch since 1983, moving here soon after the District was created. She was first appointed to the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District Board of Directors in 1996 and is now serving in her 3rd elected term. Ms. Howe serves as the Chair of the Finance and Administration Committees, watchdogs legislative issues and is a major advocate of District water conservation. In these roles, she is responsible for the development of the District’s budget and water rates and has been instrumental in finding methods to expand District services while keeping taxes and water rates down.
Ms. Howe was a founding member of Capital Area Suburban Exchange (CASE), an organization of Central Texas MUD’s serving as president during the first 2 formative years. Other water organization membership includes AWWA, A board position on TWCA, serving as the state wide MUD appointee to the State’s Water Conservation Advisory Council, and helping to organize the Central Texas Water Efficiency Network, a loose organization that networks to find Best Practices for Water Conservation locally.
Ms. Howe served as President of the Wells Branch Neighborhood Association from 1992-1993,her main accomplishments there being the realization of the neighborhood wide delivery of the WBNA Newsletter, the annual Holiday Dinner, the beginning of a Seniors program, restarting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and putting on the first 4th Fest in Wells Branch. She volunteered for the PTA at WB elementary, the WB Armada Swim Team, the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. She also served as the treasurer of the Wells Branch Homestead Corporation from 1989 until 1994. She was also instrumental in working to help create the Wells Branch Library District and then helped start one of their first Book Clubs.
Ms. Howe worked for Walgreens over 34 years as a Registered Pharmacist and also taught National Pharmacy Certification classes for the Walgreen’s staff in the Central Texas Region.
She is married to Mike Howe and has three children; Kalinda and Briana, and Dane. All three have graduated from UT System Universities and are employed in their fields of study. Lastly, Donna owns 2 tri-colored collies that often happily greet walkers on the pond trail from their back yard enclosure.

Janet Maxey moved to Wells Branch in Jan. 1993. Janet is married to Doug and they have 3 grown children.
Before being elected to the MUD Board in May of 2004, Janet was active very in Wells Branch. She was an Armada Swim Team Board member for 8 years. She also served on the WBNA Board and the McNeil High School PTA Board. Janet also used to bake the 4th Fest cupcakes, coordinated the Homestead Craft Show, and helped with almost all the special events in Wells Branch.
Janet currently chairs the Recreation Committee and serves on the Administration and Public Safety Committee.

Tom Cheshire has been a Wells Branch resident since 1988. A graduate from UT with a BA in Criminal Justice. Hook'm Horns. Tom and Gail have two daughters that also live in Wells Branch so they can be close to some of the seven grand children. One daughter lives in Manor and a son in Florence, Texas.
My background as a small business owner and prior law enforcement experience has been extremely beneficial for the residents of Wells Branch. As Chairman of the Public Safety Committee and with the support from the other Board of Directors, have created a great working relationship with the Travis County Sheriffs Department and Precinct Two Constables Office. With the Public Safety Committee Wells Branch now has the most and best recognized Neighborhood Watch Programs in Travis County according to the Travis County Sheriffs Department.
Tom is also on the Precinct Two Constables Citizen Advisory Board and the Northwest Elementary Advisory Board. “I may be an elected official, but I am also a resident and have the same issues that face everyone in Wells Branch. I serve on the Board of Directors for one reason and one reason only. That is to help make Wells Branch a great community to live in and for residents to want to stay and make our community the place to live. By maintaining our property values and parks & recreation area, we have one of the best places to live in Travis County and I am very honored to be part.
Robert Bauhs

Robert Bauhs graduated from college with a BA in Economics from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and a commission in the Air Force. He earned his pilot’s wings and after completing his tour of duty, he returned to the civilian world as a Systems Engineer with IBM. Subsequent promotions had him moving to Endicott, NY as an instructor, and then to Lima, Ohio as a Systems Engineering manager.
His family moved to Sugarland, TX during the oil boom of the late ‘70s where he joined an oilfield services company as their Information Services Manager. Family matters brought him to Wells Branch in 1996 where he continued to work as an Industry consultant for his former employer, and then finally as an adjunct faculty member at ACC. Until recently he has been involved with the Austin Chord Rangers, a men’sacappella singing group.
Bob’s wife, Darlene, has a BA in education. She has worked as a teacher, tutor, children’s librarian and museum director. Most of all she has been a great mom to 4 children, and dotes on her grandchildren in Houston and Wells Branch.
Joe Petronis

Joe Petronis grew up in Lampasas, a small town an hour northwest of Wells Branch. He graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Economics and received an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University. He has worked at Dell as a project manager for over 8 years.
Joe and his wife Mary, a 4th grade teacher in Pflugerville ISD, bought their home in Well Branch in 2007. The scenic green belts and unique events is what attracted them to the area. Joe enjoys vegetable gardening, walking the trails, and traveling internationally.
Joe currently serves on the Recreation and IT Committees.
