Pool Rental
We have two options for people who wish to host a party at our pools. If you would like to host a private party, both of our swimming pools are available to rent outside of our normal operating hours. If you would prefer a time that is during our normal pool hours, you may request a group use permit. All groups using the pool must follow our Group Use Policy found at the back of this document.
Group Use Permit
Valid recreation tag holders may host a party at the pool during normal pool hours by obtaining a Group Use Permit. Any groups of 10 or more people are required to obtain a group use permit prior to their event. Requests for permits may be made in person at the pools or the recreation center. You may also contact the aquatics supervisor, Chris Donnelly, by phone (251‐9814 x120) or by email. There is no fee for a group use permit, but they will be limited so it is recommended you obtain one at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Any party guests who do not have pool tags will need to pay the applicable guest fees before being admitted into the pool area. If you plan to pay for your guests please do so before they arrive, as they will not be allowed into the pool area until they have been paid for. Furniture and seating areas at the pool are available on a first come first serve basis, we do not reserve them.
Private Rental
Our Pools are available for private party rentals as well. Pools may be reserved outside of normal pool hours by recreation tag holders. Pool rentals are limited to a maximum of 100 guests (This includes everyone in the pool area including those who are not swimming). Pool rentals must observe all pool rules and regulations as well as the group use policy outlined below. Costs for pool rentals are by the hour, and there is also a $100 refundable cleanup deposit. The costs for pool rentals are shown in the table below.

Group Use Policy
All groups of more than 10 people using the pool will be required to observe the following group use
policy
- Groups are required to obtain approval at least 7 days in advance from the Wells Branch MUD’s Aquatic Supervisor. Accurate counts of children and adults who will be participating are required to ensure that the pool is adequately staffed for the safety of your group and the public.
- Groups are required to follow all pool rules. A copy of the pool rules will be made available to the group leader prior to using the pool. A brief rule and safety talk will be given to the group before they will be allowed to enter the water.
- All children under the age of 12 will be required to take a swim test. The swim test will consist of swimming 15 yards unassisted without touching the bottom or sides of the pool.
- All swimmers who are unable to pass the swim test will be required to wear a USCG – Approved Lifejacket Type III. We have a limited number of lifejackets available for use. If more are needed, they will have to be provided by the group. Swimmers who do not pass the test will also be given a colored wristband, and will be required to stay in the shallow end of the pool.
- All swimmers who pass the test will be given a colored wristband, and will have full access to the entire pool.
- All swimmers under the age of 12 must be actively supervised at all times. Supervisors must be at least 16 years of age. The following ratios of supervisors to swimmers must be maintained both in and out of the water.
- 1 supervisor per 5 children under the age of 5.
- 1 supervisor per 10 children between the ages of 5 and 12.
