The Wells Branch MUD Board of Directors has approved a new and improved billing system. As of June 1st you may make your water payments on-line through Crossroads’ website. Below is important information about the new online payment system, other payment options, monthly payment due date and termination of services.
OPTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF YOUR WATER BILL
PAY OR ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT ON LINE
Your balance, amount due, monthly usage and billing history are now available to you any time of the day, night or weekends. Go to www.crossroadsus.com and follow the easy instructions by clicking “PAY MY BILL”.
DROP BOXES– We have 2 payment drop-off locations. Please enclose the payment stub, check, cashiers check or money order. NO CASH PLEASE. Payments are collected daily and posted to your account Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Drive to:

PAY BY PHONE – Call Crossroads Utility Services at 512-246-1400. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. You may use a credit card (Master Card, Visa, Discover) or debit card.
MAIL YOUR PAYMENT - This is a bank lock box. An advantage of the lock box is that it allows payments to be immediately posted to the District’s account. The payment stub MUST accompany the payment. Mail to:

PAY IN PERSON - Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, cashiers check, debit or credit card. All e-checks will incur a $1.00 service fee. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Office locations:

PAYMENTS MADE BY A BILL PAY SERVICE – When choosing this option, the payment stub is not included so it is critical that the COMPLETE account number is clearly stated on the check. Your full account number is located on your statement and consists of 15 numbers starting with 70600-0 followed by 9 more numerals. Adding your account number will ensure your payment will be posted promptly and correctly to your account.
AUTOMATE YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS - If you are already using Crossroads’ automatic payment option, this process will continue. If you want to initiate automatic monthly payments using a credit/debit card, please contact Crossroads’ at (512)246-1400. This option assures that your payment will be posted by the due date every month. You may set up an on-line account with your e-mail address to receive verification of payment.
MONTHLY DUE DATE - Your water meter is read mid-month and mailed around the 1ST of the following month. It is due and payable upon receipt and past due after the 20th. If the 20th falls on a weekend or Holiday, the due date will be extended one business day. All payments received after the 20th will be assessed a 10% late fee.
TERMINATION OF SERVICES - If payment is not made within 3 days of the PAST DUE date, a termination letter will be sent stating the amount that must be paid prior to the termination date. You may also choose email notification through your online account.
If payment is not received by the stated termination date, water service will be terminated. Whether or not service has been physically terminated, all delinquent and all current charges, plus an administrative fee of $35.00 and a $100 additional deposit (up to a maximum of $500.00), must be paid before services will be restored. For reconnections requested after 2:00 p.m., an additional after-hours fee of $35.00 is also assessed.

I have a water leak, what should I do?
If you see bubbling out of the ground or down the curb, please call Crossroads Utility at (512)246-1400. If the leak is on your side of the meter, you will probably need to call a good plumber.
Can I get a credit on my account for my water leak?
Please call Crossroads Utility at (512)246-1400.
Can I get my late fees/penalties waived?
If a customer did not receive a bill, the late fees might be waived; the customer must contact Crossroads Utility at (512)246-1400. If the customer sent their payment in late, (at 5:01pm on the 20th or later) the late fee will automatically be added and penalties cannot be waived.
I didn’t get a bill.

Can I postdate a check?
No.
What is my winter averaging?
Normal winter averaging is Dec-Feb. The Board reviews the winter averaging each year and may determine the months accordingly. Each year may be different.
My online BillPay did not go through on time.
You must show proof from your bank that it was mailed on time from the bank. When payment is done by BillPay through your bank, Crossroads does not receive it electronically. The bank cuts a live check and mails it to Crossroads; this may take up to 10 days for receipt. Please set the BillPay at least 10 days before the 20th so that it is sure to get to Crossroads on time.
Can you waive my disconnect fees?
They can get $100 waived by signing up for automatic draft.
Can I make payment arrangements?
Yes, but it will be one on a case-by-case basis. Crossroads will need to review your account history, please contact them at (512)246-1400.
I cannot pay my bill at all.
You may want to contact www.211centraltexas.org to locate a resource in the community that may assist you.
Can you draft my credit card on a different day other than the 20th?
No, this is not possible with our current water management company.
I have been away for 3 months, why did I still get a bill?
You are charged a minimum amount whether you are in your home or not.
